Construcing with quite outstanding architecture and interior design accordingly – Lens House in London. Its main feature is that the old house in Islington (London area) was exposed to the modernization of the capital, turning from an architectural monument of the Victorian era to the modern and post-modern space with dynamic insertions.
Worked on the project Alison Brooks Architects. Their main idea was to create an intriguing appearance of the building. The decision in the style of origami had here could not be more helpful. Consists addition to the existing mansion of two blocks, each of which has a clearly defined function: “In the first, which is located around the brick walls on the side and back of the house, a home office is located, while the second block extension is intended to increase the size of the ground floor living room. The total area of the villa – 400 square meters (main building plus an extension). According to the architect, to achieve the low location of the Keystone expansion as an office, ABA “reduced the existing foundation and dug new space in the yard. This new lower ground floor connects the workplace and the home.” However, just as unusual as the outside, the building looks like from the inside. Windows appear in the most unexpected places, the ceiling and the walls with strange shapes.
