In their design of the new Melbourne store for this Brazilian shoe company, Edwards Moore has created a sensory delight that revels in the materiality and playfulness synonymous with the Melissa brand. The retail store also has LED lighting that lights up the room like a rainbow, in which 300 white plastic spheres where threaded into tension cables to create a bubble like effect. The ‘bubbles’ act as floating shelves for jelly shoes to hang from, this design was very important to be highly visual for passes walking by, due to the busy area in Melbourne that it is situated, it makes it almost impossible to walk straight pass that was said by Designer Edward Moore.
