The design of the Dutch designer Joost van Bleiswijk shows can be real structural elements as well. “Construction Lamp” is the designer floor lamp , created by Bleiswijk in 2012 for the Dutch furniture manufacturer Moooi. The particular aesthetics of the lamp is its functionality.
Construction Lamp highlights a classic approach to industrial design. The prototype of the designer floor lamp was unveiled at the recently held Salone del Mobile 2013 in Milan.
The design is creative, playful and very cool. Thus, the designer has tried to blend the line between design and architecture. The designer floor lamp is made up of small wooden elements in vintage look together, giving it the appearance of a construction box. Many of us have at least once in their childhood busy. The design would surely delight any amateur craftsmen.
The lamp is available in white or matte black, combined with wood. Can be controlled floor lamp with an integrated dimmer. The Design floor lamp “Construction Lamp” is available in 3 dimensions – S, M, L. The medium sized lamp is 139 cm high and the diameter of the shade is 50 cm.
Designer Joost van Bleiswijk was born in Delft and closing the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2011 His experiments with architectural elements and the numerous possible combinations inspired the young designers to its creation.
