Changing Hallway with Some Paint

A long time ago, our reader Javier taught us how to make a Christmas centerpiece with the remains of the Christmas tree, and today shares with us how you have changed your hallway with a little paint and some well-chosen tweaks.

Changing Hallway with Some Paint

Javier has seen fit not to use the odious tricks before and after , and the photos are very well taken before, at the same time of day you took the later, and without adding clutter or extraneous frames. Thus, in the prior-hall we see a hallway painted in two shades of orange (pumpkin and peach), with crappy pictures very old telephone receiver.
After passing through his hands and paint roller, space has changed completely. We have chosen two more neutral tones, such as ocher (to the top) and brown astrakhan (for the bottom), which combine well with each other and with the bottom shelf, in addition to convey serenity and elegance.

Also changed the tables for two dark frames with your own photos, which release part of the wall and make the room becomes broader and less oppressive. The intercom is a more modern now, but as I stated vintage fan, I would not have bothered to retain the original.
Ratillo ago I realized that I should paint the hallway. I can not let it go more. That, or change of house. In April will make four years I lived here, for me, a record of permanence.

It is a home you could live forever. It is very good here. Although it could also leave and still be good. The attachment to things is something difficult to avoid because things are a reflection of memories and stories that trace not want to lose, but if I look everything accumulating in closets, drawers, shelves … I realize that most of these things just do that, build up, taking up space and ultimately pose a drag anchor us to places that it is increasingly difficult to get out. In the end, I have the feeling that the more space dedicated to things, less space is left for freedom.
If I paint the hall, this time look for a slightly darker paint and also will throw many things away. If I paint and I move, I’ll throw still many more things.
