This is a house that exhibits joy everywhere … and money, of course. This New York apartment is a luxury available to few, but surely we can find some idea copyable for our homes, but with a more modest budget. First, I would look at the color scheme of the room . There are red, fuchsia, gold, orange … and yet, it is not tiresome. Why? The most obvious is that the space is huge , but also because the walls are white and are not just decorated, and because white is also prevalent in the central area, thanks to the marble table. The color is left for textiles.
The same constant is repeated throughout the house which, incidentally, belongs to designer Jonathan Adler . Golden lamps very vintage , sun mirrors … strong and warm colors … and always combined with black and a touch of fun, as the figures of the gnomes.
Art on the walls, some vegetation and some pop objects that give a lot of life are key to the room, a large space at the top and wide that allows the placement of a giant paper lanterns. Here is played with depth. The space is large and touches of bright colors fill it nicely.
The ladder I love. He hides behind a sliding door and is a real treat. It is close and easy, but thanks to the role of the walls combined with the floor carpet, is rambling and dreamy. One feels it will go up to a magical place.
And that is, indeed. The upstairs also wonderful and just as luxurious and colorful than the one below. A little black on the walls helps to create a bedroom a little more intimate.
