This chair and ottoman were designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1956 for Herman Miller Company. The chair was made in plywood rosewood and leather , but today is done in cherry wood. The two upper backrest and headrests are connected by a piece of aluminum, making the chair more comfortable and provide great flexibility.
These two pieces are attached to the seat by the armrests. One of the most striking features of this design is the 15 degree tilt of the backrest, this provides greater comfort during use.
This piece is a timeless classic of the twentieth century, so that we use in every room of our house, because its design is very versatile and prints sophistication and elegance to the environment. His lines fit well both traditional decorations as the most current, is therefore a piece that will not go unnoticed, even there are designers that give the rating of sculpture.
